Technopolymer
glass
The cover of underwater fixtures is entirely composed of glass with a thickness of up to 16 mm and vitrified serigraphy for maximum impact resistance (IK10). It guarantees corrosion resistance and means the fixtures can even be used in seawater. In addition, the glass allows the fixtures to blend into the lining of pools and fountains to the point where they disappear, leaving only their light output visible.
AISI 316L stainless steel
Our fixtures in AISI 316L stainless steel, the most corrosion-resistant steel alloy, can withstand both alkaline (saline environments) and acidic (chlorinated pools) corrosion.
Surface preparation
Epoxy paint
Offers outstanding adhesion to the treated surface, creating a protective base with excellent corrosion resistance.
Polyester paint
Adheres to the epoxy paint, creating a layer up to 120 μm thick and giving the finish UV and weather resistance.
The paints used comply with Qualicoat specifications (automotive standard)
Salt-spray testing
Products under development are salt-spray tested for over 1,000 hours to test the corrosion resistance of the finishes.
Paint thickness testing
We test the paint thickness and homogeneity on the painted bodies electronically to ensure the highest quality and reliability of our lighting fixtures.
Electrical Protection System
Intellligent Protection System
Protects outdoor and underwater lighting fixtures from water infiltrations in case of faulty junctions between the cables.
This innovation also guarantees electrical protection against polarity reversal, hot plugging, ESD and voltage spikes, which can occur if there are faults in the electrical circuit.
Protective Impedance Device
Protects lighting fixtures from electrical phenomena external to the system, such as static electricity accumulation or electromagnetic interference coming from the mains power. Generally, these are events with a low energy content.
Surge Protection Device
Protects lighting fixtures from electrical phenomena external to the system, such as power surges. This device is specifically for protection against serious events with a high energy content.
Temparature Control Built in (ntc)
An NTC thermistor mounted on the LED board that protects the product against overheating. If the product is operating at a temperature higher than the maximum temperature it is designed for, the thermistor gradually reduces the power. It allows the built-in electronic parts to cool down and prevents the device from instantly switching itself off. When the temperature returns to normal, it restores the lighting fixture’s original operating conditions.
